The 2010 Winter Olympics event is officially addressed as XXI Olympic Winter Games and will start from February 12 and will continue till February 28th 2010. So far 48 different nations have qualified for the Winter Olympic games, but the numbers will keep changing as more and more nations qualify. About 80 nations are expected to qualify for the main events.

Do you think George Bush knows how much a bus pass costs? When was the last time you think Dick Cheney pulled out an envelope full of coupons to save a few bucks at the grocery store? Does he even know what a grocery store is? I do not want to bash the President. But what I want to do is explain why so many of our national politicians aren't ready to tackle the everyday problems the average American faces – simply because they have no idea what they are.

Legend has it that a very long time ago, Herakles (aka Hercules) had won a race at Olympia and declared the race should be re-enacted every 4 years. The first recorded Olympic games took place in 776 BC, however it is widely believed to have started long before that, with some historians citing the 13th century BC as the beginning.
