The 2010 Winter Olympics event is officially addressed as XXI Olympic Winter Games and will start from February 12 and will continue till February 28th 2010. A list of around 86 events has been officially announced for the 2010 Winter Olympiad. Here is a list of the main categories of sporting events that will be a part of the Games:
Alpine Skiing, Freestyle Skiing, Biathlon, Curling, Ski Jumping, Figure Skating, Snow Boarding, Bobsleigh, Short track Speed Skating, Speed Skating, Luge, Cross-Country Skiing, Nordic Combined, Ice hockey and Skeleton.
The exception of the 2010 Winter Olympics would be the inclusion of Fishing. After a long of debate and some controversy, it has been finally included in the list of events. Ice Fishing will be one event which will draw the attention of many. Another special feature would be the hockey event which will be organized on a narrow sized ice rink for the first time in the history of Winter Olympics.
