If you plan on entering Canada or visiting Canada for an extended period of time, you'll need a Canadian Temporary Resident Visa, and to fill out an application for a temporary resident visa to visit Canada. This is issued by the Canadian government's visa office, which is a department under the purview of Citizenship and Immigration Canada. The temporary resident visa for Canada will allow you to enter Canada as a student, temporary worker, or a visitor. Applying for it can be tough, though, so it's best to be very prepared!

As usual, this summer will be hot, hot, hot, and turning to central air conditioning or window air conditioning to stay cool can test your temper by raising your electrical bills. There are still ways to beat the heat and save money on energy bills, though, and I’ll cover them in this, as well as drop some basic science, so we can stay cool in the pool!

Wind is a clean, renewable, and abundant energy source and there are estimates that it could supply around 20% of the energy requirements of our country. For those of us who would like to reduce dependency on other energy sources or reduce electricity bills, a great option that’s getting cheaper is that of the small wind turbine for home use. Residential wind turbines are small, effective, and wind turbine installation can be less complex than you would imagine.

When starting a garden you have two choices when it comes to the garden plants and flowers you grow, you can raise them from seed or you can purchase your vegetables. Until last week, there have been two stories running in parallel. The first story is of rampant inflation fuelled by the price of oil making record new highs every week. The subtext to this story is the dawn of a difficult decade. The second story is of a stock market that believed inflation would be contained and that the worst of the credit crunch is behind us.
